Hundreds to arrive in Kent this weekend for secret woodland sex festival

Flamefest describes itself as “the festival for enlightened, kinky partygoers”

Hundreds of people are expected to arrive in the county this weekend for a raunchy woodland festival.

Flamefest, which is being held in “a secret location in Kent”, understood to be Brookes Wood in High Brooms, near Tunbridge Wells, describes itself as “the festival for enlightened, kinky partygoers” and is set to welcome more than 350 people from Friday until Sunday.

As well as live rave music, movie nights and extreme performances including fire breathing and sword swallowing, it also offers “an adult play area and steamy outdoor hot tubs”.

However, residents have complained about the nature of the event, which charges £600 for a boutique tent with entry for two people, and the number of coaches that will be bringing partygoers from the capital to the venue.

Event organisers are understood to have allayed fears, though, by insisting no sex would be visible to the public and all noise would be strictly controlled.
