Ideas to merge karting, bikes and cars are expected to be announced soon

The national homes of karting and rallycross have joined forces after a commercial partnership deal was struck between the two Kent circuits.

Buckmore Park in Chatham and Lydden Hill, located between Canterbury and Dover, offer an array of days out for the family and provide opportunities to drive the famous tracks.

Buckmore Park which now celebrates 54 years in operation offers kart races and corporate days, and Lydden Hill offers public track days for both cars and bikes.

Fifty years ago this year Lydden hosted the very first rallycross event, and in 2017 hosts World RX of Great Britain, the UK round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship on May 27-28.

“We at Lydden Hill are excited to be forming a commercial partnership with Buckmore Park, the undisputed Heart of Karting in the UK and look forward to working with them this season,” said marketing and events manager, Louise Price.

“We have a number of ideas for joint mutual working in the pipeline, across karting, bikes and cars, which we hope to announce soon.”

Matt Rogers, marketing manager at Buckmore Park added: “By teaming up with Lydden Hill we will both benefit from each other’s extensive knowledge and experience in our own chosen field.

“This will provide an exciting and unique opportunity for both venues to support each other going forward.”
